Join Yusuf Mohammed from Intercultural Management Education in these 3 live virtual sessions tailored specifically for Grade 7-12 teachers on Building Cultural Capacity. These sessions focus on equipping educators with the knowledge, strategies, and skills necessary to create culturally inclusive/responsiveclassrooms and support diverse student populations.

Session 1. Culturally Responsive Teaching for Adolescent Learners
Objective: Help teachers integrate culturally responsive strategies into their teaching practices for grades 7-12.
Key Points:
• Understanding the cultural backgrounds of students and their impact on learning
• Adapting curriculum materials to reflect diverse perspectives

Session 2. Bias Recognition and Mitigation in the Classroom
Objective: Equip teachers with tools to identify and reduce bias in their teaching and interactions with
students.

• Reflecting on personal biases and their impact on teaching

Session 3. Building Cultural Competency in Student Relationships
Objective: To enhance teachers' ability to build strong, respectful relationships with students from diverse
cultural backgrounds.

• Building trust and rapport with students from diverse cultural and ethnic backgrounds
• Developing culturally sensitive communication skills
• Promoting a classroom culture of respect, empathy, and inclusion
