The learning opportunity is intended to provide individual educators, as well as cohorts of educators with an opportunity to explore the development of cultures of thinking in their schools and classrooms.

Ideally, participants (Fellows) attend as a cohort along with their school principal (or other instructional leader(s)) in teams of 3-7.

Where there are single teachers, we intend to leverage the breakout room during sessions to build virtual cohorts and encourage communication between those cohorts in the time between the four scheduled sessions.

Over the course of the four sessions, Cultures of Thinking (CoT) Fellows dive deeply into the pedagogical framework and instructional strategies of Cultures of Thinking and Visible Thinking, experimenting in their classrooms and reflecting with the learning cohort (in their school/division or virtual).

The CoT Fellows act as a support group to both support and push one another's understanding of what it means to create a culture of thinking at their school (or in their class).

CoT Fellows engage in ongoing inquiry to develop ideas in their own classrooms by designing interventions, collecting data and documentation, reflecting, and iterating.

Following the four scheduled sessions, we intend to schedule a one-hour sharing - showcase session after school toward the end of May, allowing participants (CoT Fellows) to showcase their inquiry work and leadership through digital pictures of practice.

Participants are encouraged to acquire a copy, ebook or print, of Dr. Ron Ritchhart's most recent book, "Cultures of Thinking in Action" released this past June.

This experience will be a great help in developing visible thinking classrooms and confidence for educators in establishing a culture of thinking in your class, and where there are cohorts participating across your school.
