3D printing (also known as additive manufacturing) is technology that not only is a great hobby but a powerful addition to the classroom and household alike.  From bringing history or literature to life or engaging students in STEM 3D printing is one of the most immersive technologies to tools available presently!

Come immerse yourself in the stimulating world of 3D printing.  In this one-day venture not only will you partake in the construction of your own 3D printer, you will get practical hands on training in the use of the software required to get your 3D printer running.

Each person who attends the workshop will assemble and take home with an Ender 3 V2 3D printer along with a set of educational resources. The Ender 3 V2 is one of the most versatile, reliable, cost effective and upgradable machine in its price point.  Not to be outclassed on safety the Ender 3 V2 comes with one of the industry's most reliable power supplies from manufacture Meanwell.

David Harmon, Greg Theron and Greg Fischer all have a personal passion for 3D printing and have supported Lethbridge Public School Division over the past two years implementing and supporting 3D printing in the classroom. About the Presenter(s):
David Harmon

A Senior Computer Systems Engineer of 15 years David live and breaths IT and Technology!  David loves to learn about technology and new innovative applications of the technology.  3D printing caught his eye a several years which eventually lead to purchasing his “First” 3D Printer about a two years ago and he has not stopped printing since.  David uses Fusion360(industry level CAD software) to create models and CURA/Prusa2.0 to slice the projects bringing them to life.

From practical 3D prints to use every day or art deco prints, he does it all.

Greg Theron along with David share their passion for this technology on a YouTube channel that they cohost.

Greg Theron

A Senior Network Analyst with Lethbridge Public School Division. He has worked in K-12 for over 2 decades. Tech is his life!

He loves researching specifications and details on everything for Their YouTube Channel 3dmakeit.ca. Although he is relatively new to 3D printing, he cannot get enough of it. He is having fun learning the in’s and out’s Fusion360 and tweaking slicing profiles.
