Learning Opportunities

This conference is designed for student leaders’ grades 7 – 12 from school districts across Southern Alberta. Your day will include an opening keynote presentation from Monique Smith, a former University level Wrestler, now a motivational speaker, photographer, mental health therapist and mentor of Olympic and Varsity athletes. Following the opening, we’ll have a couple of breakout sessions led by student leaders from across the region, a lunch and wellness fair and will conclude with our closing keynote, Cowboy Smithx. Cowboy Smithx is a Blackfoot filmmaker from the Piikani and Kainai nation. He was the co-producer of the film, Elder in the Making and he has recently been presenting on a European tour through France and Scotland. Students are in for a great day of leadership development for themselves with the challenge to then return to their schools and lead with their peers.
