Alberta Consortia PD Resources

Curriculum Express - for Parents -  The Curriculum Express for Parents series is available in English and gives a short explanation of the curriculum for parents who are English language learners.  The Catholic version of the Curriculum Express includes additional text reflecting the faith and values as understood by the Catholic Church.  The Curriculum Express series is available on the Education website at www.education.alberta.ca/parents/resources/express.aspx and may be downloaded for viewing and printing as required.  The series is also available for purchase from the Learning Resources Centre at 780-427-2767 (toll-free by first dialing 310-0000).  An order form is also available on the website.

My Child's Learning / Apprentissage de mon enfant -   The print versions of the Curriculum Handbook for Parents and Curriculum Summaries were phased out and replaced by a new digital resource, My Child’s Learning / Apprentissage de mon enfant, launched in February 2012.  This new interactive digital resource provides parents with the most up-to-date information about what their child is learning, resources to help their child and how their child might be assessed for every subject and grade.   This resource is available on the Education website in English at www.mychildslearning.alberta.ca and in French at www.apprentissagedemonenfant.alberta.ca.

Alberta Assessment Consortium
The Alberta Assessment Consortium is a not-for-profit organization with a wealth of information, performance assessments, and tools and templates for use by Alberta teachers linked to Alberta curricula. A number of materials are in public access domain, while others are password protected. Inquire with your school jurisdiction for your district's password.


2 Learn Ca
"2 Learn.ca is a not-for-profit society that provides project resources and tools for collaborative learning in a telecollaborative environment."  Resources are available for students, educators and parents for all grade levels.
